Frequently Asked Questions

When used properly and in accordance with the instructions, CO₂ training is generally considered safe for its intended applications. Contraindications and warnings must be observed.

"CO₂ treatments are not equally suitable for everyone. If you have certain pre-existing medical conditions or are in specific life situations, we recommend discussing the treatment with a doctor beforehand. These include, in particular:

severe cardiovascular diseases
; severe or unstable lung diseases (e.g., COPD or severe asthma)
, uncontrolled high blood pressure
, pregnancy
, and a known tendency toward fainting spells or panic attacks

. If you are unsure or suffer from a chronic condition, we would be happy to advise you or recommend that you consult a doctor beforehand. If you wish, our medical consultant, Dr. Simon Reichel, can also be involved in the assessment so that we can work together to determine the best course of action for you."

When used properly, there is no risk of inhaling “too much” CO₂ with the Cardihaler. The device delivers a controlled dose of CO₂. Even at the highest setting, the CO₂ concentration in the inhaled air does not exceed 8%. In addition, your natural breathing reflex allows you to regulate the intensity yourself at any time. Therefore, always follow the recommended instructions for use.

CO₂ applications can trigger individual physiological responses. These include, among other things, an increased urge to breathe, a tingling sensation in the airways, a feeling of warmth, or a pronounced sense of relaxation. If dizziness or discomfort occurs, the intensity should be reduced or the treatment discontinued. Professionals should always tailor the treatment to the user’s individual condition and tolerance.

Discontinue use if the user feels unwell or experiences more severe symptoms. These include, in particular, severe dizziness, persistent discomfort, or other unusual reactions. If in doubt, do not resume the treatment until after consulting a doctor. CO₂ treatments should never be performed against the user’s wishes. A comfortable and controlled treatment experience is always the top priority.
